My Special Place

There is a place I often visit,

Especially while you’re far away

A place where I need never worry

Of things that hurt me in any way.

It is a warm and mystical place—

A site where pain is seldom felt;

And when I walk about this land

Nostalgia’s sunshine all cold does melt.

It’s not a place that’s hard to reach

Yet only I can travel there.

For it resides within my mind—

A world of memories only we do share.

We are together once again

We walk down roads of days gone by;

Hand-in-hand I relive each moment

Of memories too precious to ever die.

Your kiss is sweet—your eyes, tranquil

Your touch always so very tender;

And I can hear your voice quite clear—

Our laughter with all its joyous splendor.

Alas, my mind is all that ventures

The remainder must stay to feel the pain;

And all too soon the loneliness returns—

Like summer storm then comes the rain.

I relate to this one also.

"Alas, my mind is all that ventures

The remainder must stay to feel the pain"

A beautiful poem about a very special place, a very special time and a very special face. Keep it alive, and even in your mind it will live on!

My votes to you.
