Pyramid Of The Moon--What Was It Built For?
The ancient city of Teotihuacan is located 50 kilometers north-east of the center of Mexico City. The city has many prehistoric structures including the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon.
The Pyramid of the Moon is surrounded by 12 platforms. Why did the mysterious builders create stairs leading up to all of these platforms, and why so many? The word Teotihuacan is from the Aztec Nahuatl language and is thought to mean the "city of the gods". The Aztecs, who founded Mexico City, came on the scene much later and considered the ruins they found at Teotihuacan to be sacred, making their own religious pilgrimages there. Archaeological study has determined that the main construction period started around 300BC, and continued for hundreds of years until the city's violent destruction in the 7th century. So who built them? And why were these unusual structures built?
And then there’s the question of the mica found at these pyramids. Archeologists found thick layers of mica in the Pyramid of the Sun. Two sheets, approx' 90 ft square laid directly on top of one another, were discovered beneath the stone paved floor of the Mica temple. Trace element testing of the mica showed it to originate 2000 miles away in Brazil. Similar finds of Mica have been found at other ancient sites thought to have been inhabited by Mayans. Mica is used by the electronics industry in capacitor construction, thermal and electric insulation, is opaque to fast neutrons, and it acts as a moderator in nuclear reactions. Whoever built these structures went to a great deal of trouble to haul all that mica from Brazil in order to use it in Teotihuacan. Why would they do that for structures used as temples or burial tombs?
Am I the only person who sees that these structures look a lot like landing pads for ancient astronauts? Actually looking at the structures, I can’t figure out what in the world else they would have been built for. There have been numerous instances of personal sightings where there was one large UFO and several smaller UFOs surrounding it, usually flying off in many different directions. This would be an ideal place for all of these types of extraterrestrial vehicles to land. If the main structures were built as temples, then why did they need all the other smaller platforms? And if they were built as tombs for their kings, once again, what was the purpose of all the other smaller structures? Maybe, just maybe, it will all be revealed in 2012. Wouldn’t that be nice?
