Reflections of the Year Gone By
53
by Christine B.
When I review the year gone by
With all its joys and few regrets,
I’m thankful for the love of friends
And family that are my supreme bequests.
I’m grateful for the lessons learned,
However hard they may have seemed,
And for the experiences I have added
To the book of life I hold esteemed.
Although my book is almost filled
And pages blank are few to find,
I’m happy to have had the chance
For another year that has been kind.
I know that every day of life’s a gift
From God who knows much more than I,
The joys and sorrows I must endure
Before once more with Him I’ll fly.
